well i really didn't like the Green Kight

but someone else said it better than I could so I’m just gonna leave this here:

I understood that something was being subverted here, but I didn’t understand what, so all I saw instead was what was left in place: the fact that a dude gets to decide his own destiny even if he chooses wrong (he cuts off the green knight’s head) and all the women in the story are props to support that story.
